attempt #2

we re-did christmas eve on the 29th.

christmas eve

here were the only ones well enough to go to the christmas eve service:

we still had some chinese food...

...and opened a few presents.

cookie swap

perhaps zoe is too little to participate in a cookie swap...

christmas train!

(apparently i only took pictures of michelle & zoe.  i guess they were just the cutest ones there.)

christmas traditions

my favorite new christmas tradition: fondue and then watching elf.  we got laughing so hard...

my not favorite new christmas tradition: everyone having a stomach flu on christmas eve.  hopefully we won't repeat that one.  [no pictures of that]

occasionally she cries

i was taking all these super-cute pictures of zoe before christmas, when mathias came home from work with a really loud 'HELLO!!' it startled zoe and made her cry. so dominic took papa to time-out. he sat mathias down in his (dominic's) time-out spot and said,

'now listen. zoe is little. you have to be careful of her.' then he gave mathias a hug and kiss and told him he was done with time-out.

too cute & hilarious. my favorite part is the 'now listen.'

lego

dominic loves lego, perhaps too much.  especially if it has wheels.  this is the kind of truck he loves (made by an adult):

he's just at the age where he knows what he wants but can't quite build it, so it's frustrating.  but i've started taking some pictures of what he is able to build to show how his lego skills progress.

this one is duplo, but still pretty good!

i stopped letting him take lego trucks to bed for this reason:

auntie melissa is the QUEEN of lego... she makes him these awesome houses...

anyhow, i'll keep taking lego pictures and see if it shows his developing skills.
