dallas

we waiting for what seemed like forever to get zoe's birth certificate so we could get her passport.  finally, when we got it, we decided to drive to dallas (5-hour drive) to get her passport, which would be faster.  we decided it should be our "test-run" for the road trip and we would stay overnight and see how dominic did in a hotel.  it was actually a good idea.  we learned a lot and were more prepared for the trip.

i did not take a lot of pictures.  in fact, i only took pictures of one thing: the aquarium.  we had an appointment for the passport at like 9:30 in the morning.  we got there, waited in line, only to have to go back downstairs to re-take zoe's passport pictures.  waited in line again, waited for our turn, finally saw the guy at around 10:30 and he said, ok, come back at 2:00 for the passport.

wha...?!  ok, that'll work.  but what do we do now with a toddler and a baby?  gps to the rescue!  i searched "museums" near here, and found an aquarium!  dominic was a bit tired, but still enjoyed it.  here are my pics.

and then, we saw this!  a jaguar!  dominic loved it and watched it for a long time.  we got to see it be fed too.

dominic did not sleep much in the car, but he did a bit:

we hardly noticed zoe!  here she looks a bit grumpy, but she was fine:
